TNG ANIMATED *UPDATED*

The popularity of my TNG animated style piece has taken me a bit by surprise! So I've decided to make it available as a limited edition print.

The prints will be 11x17 and printed on high quality 120lb. Lustro cover paper. All prints will be hand signed.

Expected ship date is mid-October.

In honor of Star Trek: The Next Generation's upcoming 25th anniversary, I whipped up this animated style take on the crew just for fun (I would personally love to draw a whole comic in this style). Up next... DS9 perhaps?

COMMISSIONS

Open commissions are now closed. If you missed out, I may open them up again before the year is over (if time allows), so check back periodically, or just contact me privately. Thanks to all of you who grabbed a spot.

I have a few open commission slots available for October/November. Sign up by purchasing your slot on the right. There are no color or extra character options for this round - just single character, black and white pieces at 9x12 ($70) and 11x17 ($120). (You can indicate what you'd like in the notes section upon checkout. If not, just send me a separate email.)

I won't keep this window open for long - once all spots are filled, that's it.

SKETCHBOOKS

I'm back and slowly recovering from the whirlwind that is Comic Con. As of today, all sketchbook pre-orders have shipped.

I have a very limited number of Never After and the Dead @ 17 Sketchbook left. Ordering info is the same (see right), $20 each or both for $30. All books come signed. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery (or a bit longer if international).

To get your hands on some of the prints I was offering at the show, please check back in a couple of weeks.

OFF TO COMIC CON...

Well, I'm off to SDCC. Here's all you need to know:

I will be at booth J7, same as the last 2 years. I will be present all four days including preview night, and will be there for the majority of the time on all days (excluding a few breaks for food, business, and shopping). I will have the 2 new sketchbooks that I've already talked about, Never After 2 and the Dead@17 Sketchbook (both $20), as well as several new art prints from the Never After books, in addition to a new Dead@17 print (all $10 each). Of course, I will also be doing sketches/commissions and have all the Dead@17 and Black Harvest trades and some original art.

Last but not least, I will be able to accept debit/credit cards this year!

UPDATES

First off, my apologies for the mix-up on the sketchbook shipping cost on the San Diego pick up orders. I have gone through all the orders and refunded everyone who requested a pick-up. If for some reason I missed you, please let me know and I will get it taken care of ASAP.

I will be closing pre-orders at the end of the day Friday. So if you still want a book and you haven't gotten one and you aren't attending SDCC, this is your final chance.

PHILADELPHIA COMIC CON

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that I will be at Philadelphia Comic Con this weekend the 17th - 19th. I will have books, prints, and of course be doing sketches.

SKETCHBOOK PRE-ORDERS

Summer sketchbook pre-orders are now live! And there's not one, but two all new sketchbooks for this season!

Here's the rundown:

  

Never After 2: Much like last year's book, Never After 2 features more unique takes on classic fairy tale characters. This time I take on Rapunzel, Cinderella, Goldilocks, The Red Queen, and lots more including some new versions of returning favorites from the first book.

(Note: If you were one of the lucky few who participated in the character commissioning a few months ago, you will already receive this as part of your package. You are of course free to order extra copies.)

The book is $20, full color, 32 pages, 8.5 x 11 in.

 
Dead@17 Sketchbook: The first sketchbook I've ever done devoted exclusively to Dead@17. Features never before seen sketches and studies of the Dead girls in addition to fan commissions and other exclusive art.

The book is $20, full color, 36 pages, 5.5 x 8.5 in.

FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY -- I'm offering both books in a package deal for only $30.

All books come signed. However, I will not be offering sketch editions this time.

Books will begin shipping mid to late July. Please specify when ordering if you prefer to pick up your copies at San Diego Comic Con.

 

UPDATES

Just a few quick updates -

- If you're not following me on Twitter by now, you're missing out. I post lots of art and info there that I don't post anywhere else. You can follow my news feed here, or you can go directly to my Twitpic gallery here. I've also added a few new things here to the gallery, so check that out if you haven't yet.

- In other news, a deal has been finalized with Mandalay Pictures to bring Dead@17 to the big screen. The film will be directed by Dennis Iliadis (Last House on the Left), written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach (Middleman, Lost, Medium) and produced by Alexandra Milchan (Righteous Kill, Street Kings). More news as it develops!

- Right now I'm the middle of preparing for Comic Con season. I've already announced my 2nd fairy tale themed art book (ordering details coming soon). There may be a bonus book this year as well. More on that later.

- I'm still writing the final chapter to Dead@17. I had hoped to be farther along by now, but unfortunately life has a way of complicating things. On top of that, I just don't want to rush it. I want to make sure this story plays out exactly as I envision it and is rewarding to all of you who have supported it and stuck by it for the past 7 years. The good news is that I hope to begin drawing within the next couple of months. I've also got a couple of side projects in the works, one of which is Starship Kansas. SK is a book I wrote that is being illustrated by the amazingly talented Otis Frampton. We will hopefully have this ready to go before the end of the year.

- Finally, my deepest thanks to all of you for your thoughts, prayers, and contributions during this difficult time for my family. We can't thank you enough. God bless.
