There's been a lot of talk and frustration lately over the erratic shipping schedules of Dead @ 17 and Lost Books of Eve, and I want you to know that I share that frustration. I hate the fact that the books have slipped off their original schedules, and I've done everything in my power to correct it. Unfortunately, some things just can't be fixed. The truth is, I got a late start because of delays in another project, and things just never recovered. I fully accept my share of the blame, and I apologize. However, there are many other factors involved that are completely out of my hands. I turned in the final pages for Dead @ 17 #4 two months ago and it just now hit stores. This has been a consistent problem with the new books that I never faced previously, where the normal turn around time was about a month. I'm not here to point fingers, I'm just trying to give you an idea for the reason behind the delays.
So, in order to fix the problem, which has begun to adversely affect my sales, Lost Books of Eve will be ending with issue 4, and Dead @ 17 will wrap up with issue 7 this fall. Don't worry, though...I won't leave you hanging. The current story arcs for both books will be wrapped up in satisfactory ways. This is what I have to do in order to re-start and get things back on track. I'm going to take a much needed break, but I think it's safe to say you can expect both books to return sometime next year in some form or another. In the meantime, please enjoy the rest of the series. There are still some really big things in store...and if you've read the current issue of Dead, you know I'm not kidding.
Thanks for your continued support.

Hey Josh,
You know sometimes it's fustrating beucase you can't wait to see what's going to happen next in a series that you are enjoying but sometimes it's part of being a fanboy (boy I hate that word).
Delays happen, being the artist being late or the publisher having the crucial page being eaten by their dog.
Delays are a part of comic books, just ask Grant Morrison!!!
Don't fret because we all know that in the end the hero wins and the villain lives to annoy another day.
See this at Dallas Comic Con.

As I understood it, Eve was going to wrap up at book 4 anyway, and I haven't begun to read Dead @ 17 yet, so there's no rush for me there. So, in my book, you're still doing just fine.
Your art and stories will ALWAYS be worth the wait, whatever the reason.
