Before everyone starts emailing me....yes, the new Dead @ 17 is on the way. Unfortunately, it will not make it's projected August release. Instead, it will be the first or second week of September. Yeah, I know...late again. What's the problem? Well, it would take too long to explain. Suffice it to say, some things happened earlier in the year that created a domino effect, putting me a little behind on everything else. I'm working hard to rectify it and within a month or two everything should be back on schedule. For now, here's the first three pages to tease you with. (click for larger view)
If you heard a gigantic sigh of relief in the wee hours of the morning earlier today, that was probably me. As of today, I am finally finished drawing my project for DC/Vertigo. There are greytones and some touch ups to do, but the hard part is done - the 145 page beast is completely pencilled and inked. This was definitely the most challenging project I've worked on yet. Some of you have heard rumors and been asking me about this for a while. And while I still can't go into detail, I'm told you can expect to see it hit the shelves in spring of 07. As always, more details when I have them or as I'm allowed.
In compiling the art for Mosh Girls & Monsters, several pieces end up being left out for various reasons. It's sometimes a painful decision, other times not, but I'd thought I'd share a few of the pieces that almost made it.
I just found out earlier today that there was apparently a problem with the printer and that is the reason for the delay of Mosh Girls & Monsters arriving in stores. I'm told the problem has been corrected and that the books are finally on their way. However, if you can't wait, you can still order your copy online from the Viper Comics shop.
