Dead @ 17 Compendium now available from the Viper Comics online shop (at $5 off the retail price)!
The Dead @ 17 Compendium Edition finally arrives in stores this week! Clocking in at over 330 pages, it contains all 3 original mini-series with enhanced artwork and over 15 all new pages, plus tons of pin-ups, fan art, and more.
This book was a labor of love and I'm really proud of how it turned out. This is the definitive version.
Here's a look at the two leads from T-Bird & Throttle, coming in August. This is a book I've been dying to do for about 10 years now. I came up with the idea about the same time as Dead @ 17, back when I was working at Lone Star Comics. I remember trying to think of a superhero motif that hadn't been done before, and I couldn't think of one that had ever used a car theme, so T-Bird was born. I've been trying to get to this book almost every year, but never really felt it was ready until now. It's a lot different than what you've come to expect from me, but I hope you guys like it!
Just a few quick updates regarding various projects:
Starting in April, one of my personal favorite artists is finally getting his own series courtesy of Viper Comics. Wulf and Batsy is the creation of Disney animator Bryan Baugh, whose art is like a weird cross between horror master Bernie Wrightson and modern animation legend Bruce Timm. An unlikely pairing, but Bryan makes it work beautifully. It's gruesome, gory, horrific, and sexy - the perfect combination.
I'm also proud to say that I will be providing covers for the series, the first of which you can see here. Visit Viper Comics for a 10 page preview and lots more info.
And be sure to visit Bryan's website for tons of great artwork (including a Dead @ 17 piece or two).
